Newsgroups
A newsgroup is a discussion group related to
a specific topic such as music, movies or hobbies.
You can look at it as a repository for messages posted from
many Internet users in different locations. Most newsgroups
are connected via Usenet, a worldwide network that uses the
Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP). Newsgroups sometimes function
as a bulletin-board where people can share information, files, photos
and any other kind of information, usually anonymous, just by posting
a message to the newsgroup site.
